During the week of Christmas in 2005, the electrical company George Höegen worked for announced they were closing their doors.
After the company's last day in business, George sent letters to many of his customers informing them that they had someone to call, but he made it clear he was not going to start his own business.
For the next two months, George kept busy with work from the many great customers that he had reached out to.
On February 14, 2006, George officially started Höegen Electric with the goal of providing for his family of seven and being flexible enough to help out with his kids' school events.
Höegen Electric started to grow as George gained several more loyal customers, so he hired his first employee in 2016. George now has eight employees. By keeping the business small, Höegen Electric is still able to provide a family-like dynamic with customers and crew, which shines through at each job.
